Terms and conditions of the Polish Now online language courses


  1. The Polish language school POLISH NOW offers courses:
    • group,
    • individual,
    • in tandem.
  2. Registration for a course takes place by completing a registration form received by e-mail after prior telephone contact with the School. The registration form forms the basis for the drawing up of the Learning Agreement, which contains the following information: the name of the course, its duration, price and the procedure for amending the terms of the Agreement.
  3. Payment of the PLN 100 initial payment is confirmation and, at the same time, agreement to the terms and conditions outlined in the Agreement and in the School Regulations. If, for reasons beyond the control of the student (e.g. insufficient number of participants), the course does not commence – the fee will be refunded within 3 working days of the decision to withdraw from the course.


  1. The course price includes:
    • classes (lesson unit is 60 minutes, the number of hours depends on the course chosen);
    • supplementary materials used during the course (printed materials during classroom sessions, PDF materials during online sessions);
    • post-course placement test;
    • course completion certificate;
    • methodological consultations – once a week 15 minutes;
    • regular combined meetings with other course groups – once a month (suspended during lockdown).
  2. The cost of the course cannot be changed during the course of study.
  3. Payment for classes taken shall be made in the form of:
    • by prepayment for the entire course of study;
    • in two parts: the first part of the payment includes 50% of the course value + registration fee, to be paid within 14 days of enrolling in the course; the second part of the payment: in accordance with the deadlines contained in the Contract;
    • payment on a monthly basis.
  4. An individual payment system is used for Course Participants who join groups during the course of study.
  5. The tuition fee must be paid by transfer of funds to the School’s bank account: POLISH LANGUAGE CENTRE FOR FOREIGNERS. Account number: 74 1160 2202 0000 0002 2532 2712.


  1. In order to enroll in A2, B1, B2, C1 level courses the student is required to write a test and attend an interview with the teacher. When taking the A1 course, a test is not required.
  2. Information on the commencement of the course is communicated to students by means of telephone communication via contact numbers or to the e-mail address indicated by the Course Participant when concluding the Contract. If incorrect contact details are indicated at the conclusion of the Contract, the School is not responsible for the premature commencement of the course and for the Participant’s missing classes.
  3. By leaving their contact details (telephone number/numbers, e-mail address), the Course Participant agrees to receive information and organizational correspondence (SMS, e-mail).
  4. The school reserves the right to use photographs taken during the activities for marketing purposes.
  5. Groups are formed taking into account the language level, age and individual needs of participants. Groups consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 participants.
  6. The school reserves the right to reschedule and/or cancel classes only for reasons beyond its control (e.g. sudden illness of the teacher). The cancelled classes will be held at another time agreed with all Course Participants.
  7. The school reserves the right to dissolve the group and offer classes in another group with the same level of study if the number of participants in the group is less than 4.
  8. The school reserves the right to change the teacher during teaching time.
  9. At the end of the course, it is compulsory to take a test. A positive result (obtaining a minimum score of 64%) entitles the Course Participant to continue with the next stage of the course.
  10. If you have any wishes or comments about the organization of your classes, please contact your teacher, the School Secretariat or the Headmaster.


  1. The School does not provide refunds of fees for classes missed through the fault of the Course Participant.
  2. The school reserves the right to cancel classes or reschedule them in urgent cases (teacher’s illness, technical reasons, etc.). The date and time of the cancelled classes is agreed with the group.
  3. Participants who do not pass the final test will not receive a certificate. If necessary, the Participant may receive a Certificate of Attendance.


  1. A participant has the right to resign from a course at any time by submitting a Declaration of Resignation. The declaration should be submitted in writing to the School administration or a scanned copy should be sent to the School’s electronic address: biuro@polishnow.pl by the middle of the month preceding the re-signing (before the monthly invoice is issued, in the case of monthly payments in advance).
  2. In the event of a declaration of cancellation more than 2 weeks before the start of the course, the student will receive a refund of the previous course payment, minus 30% of the course fee.
  3. In the event of a declaration of cancellation less than 2 weeks before the start of the course, the student will receive a refund of the previous course payment, minus 50% of the course fee.
  4. In the event of withdrawal from the Agreement (on the student’s initiative) during the course of the course, the Participant shall bear all costs relating to the classes already held.
  5. If the withdrawal from the Agreement concerns participation in a course organised for foreigners applying for a temporary residence permit in the territory of the Republic of Poland (residence permit) on the basis of courses organised by the School after receipt of the residence permit, the cost of the withdrawal is 100% of the course cost.
  6. If the withdrawal from the Agreement concerns participation in a course for foreigners applying for a visa in the territory of Poland, in the event of obtaining a visa, the cost of the refusal shall be 100% of the course cost.
  7. Citizens of countries with a visa-free regime as regards entry to the territory of Poland who have received a confirmation of their participation in the course, on the basis of which they can obtain a visa or a residence card (permit to stay), and who subsequently resign from taking part in the course, will not be refunded the course fee.
  8. In the event that a Participant fails to obtain a visa which will allow him/her to enter Poland for a language course organised by the School, the School will refund the amount paid for the course, less the registration fee (100 PLN) and the handling charges specified in the Agreement. Refund is only possible in the form of a bank transfer within 90 days. The participant is obliged to write an application and present a document confirming the negative decision of the consulate to issue a visa.
  9. In the event of low attendance (less than 70%) and more than six unexcused absences in a row, the Participant will be excluded from the course.
